Columbia, MD - October 29, 2015 - Chiron Technology Services, Inc., a leading cybersecurity firm providing government and commercial clients with customized training and cybersecurity services to prevent, detect and respond to cyber-attacks, has been awarded a subcontract training engagement with DoD Prime Contractor, IOMAXIS. During the engagement, Chiron will provide cybersecurity training services for a DoD client. Details of the agreement were not disclosed.
The contract will develop the organic capabilities of the customer's cybersecurity workforce by training students to protect critical networks and data. Chiron will offer its Discovery and Counter-Infiltration, Cyber Threat Emulation and Mission Protection training sessions, which include recurring "live fire" exercises. Each course provides hands-on application and implementation and is designed to test and solidify knowledge and techniques taught during the course so students are prepared to address real-world scenarios.
"Chiron is committed to working with its partner, IOMAXIS, to develop the customer's ability to protect critical networks and data," said David Pappas, President and Founder of Chiron. "Our emphasis on training and developing work-role competencies enables the customer to improve and maintain their internal cybersecurity capabilities against persistent threats."
The subcontract award comes on the heels of a $3.5 million prime contract awarded in August to provide cybersecurity training to another government client based at Fort Gordon, Ga.
